We have created a level editor that makes it possible to edit the levels of the game directly on an iPad. This is really, really great. The visual what-you-se-is-almost-what-you- get interface allow us to adjust placement of elements much better, and try the adjustments out right away on the device.
The editor is downloadet and installed with the dev version of the app and integrates with the game, while connected to a dropbox where each individual user in the team can have individual sandboxes to try out stuff.
Though we have just created it for own use, the level editor is so easy to use that we consider hirering some kids to help us build the levels. We just had a school intern working with us for a week. Not only was he very picking up very quick, it was also inspiring how a young guy at 15 thinks out of the box.
